so incredibly sweet.

"The budding lovebirds, identified as Mika and Anna-Lena, packed bathing costumes, sunglasses and a lilo and headed for the airport.
They even had the presence of mind to invite along an official witness - Anna-Lena's seven-year-old sister.
The three got as far as Hanover railway station before police intervened.
The young couple were "very much in love" and had decided to get married in Africa "where it is warm", police spokesman Holger Jureczko told the AFP news agency."

True that.

Oh, hackers.

The last guy is kind of adorable.

Not a weapon.

Man with bottle of booze in paper bag: Is that a machine gun or a bomb?
Boy with guitar: No, I'm just carrying my guitar.

Excuse for a Love Poem

by John Skoyles

It must have been the last drink
that made me feel like this.
A woman looking in a store window
stood the way you do;
a man drove a truck with a child
in his lap and somehow this touched me.

I saw everything with such affection,
it had to be that last drink
that made me think of love as a relief
instead of the relief of nothing to love,
and I flirted with a waitress to celebrate
but she never came back.

The women I thought about
always had someplace to go,
and guessing where you were today
only made me drunker:
the loveliness of being held;
the quiet in which you are reading.

Life is life.

We are amused.

Sperm.

Radio Lab is one of my favorite podcasts. There are 4 or so episodes a season and they explore a topic (generally through a scientific lens) each episode. Their show is approachable, humorous and touching.

Their show a few weeks ago on sperm had me crying by the end of it. Not what you'd expect when learning about sperm. In fact, after I spent yesterday evening explaining why I don't believe in marriage, there was a moment while listening to this show when I may have changed my mind. They discuss what makes men men, why there are so many sperm, and whether we really need men.

Sperm.

I found this rather amusing.

Happy Birthday, Beautiful!

I would throw small bunnies against a wall for you, for sure.
